Our Services

Milestone Pediatrics offers a full range of services to our patients and their families.

Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

Walk-Ins

We discourage patients from walking into the office and requesting to be seen without an appointment.  We value your time!  We do not like to keep people waiting, so we schedule patients accordingly.  We try to save plenty of appointment times to accommodate same day sick visits. Our receptionists will gladly assist you with scheduling an appointment for your child.

After Hours

The doctors take emergency calls from their homes after hours. Call the After Hours number,
630-364-1677, to reach the on-call provider. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for the morning. We encourage you to refer to our website first, when practical, before calling the office.

Well Child Visit

Due to the large number of school, sport and camp physicals that we perform during the summer months, please call and schedule your appointment as early as possible so that you will have the greatest number of times and dates which to choose from. The recommended well visit schedule is as follows:

Newborn visit (usually within the first week)
1 month
2 months
4 months
6 months
9 months
12 months
15 months
18 months
2 years and up- yearly
School physicials are required for entrance into preschool, kindergarten, 6th grade, and high school.

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day you call us. We encourage you to call as early in the day as possible for illness visits.  We have a dedicated and well-trained staff of Triage Nurses to advise you on illness care and help you determine if a visit is necessary. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule an appointment for ALL children to be seen. This allows the provider to spend appropriate time with your child and have his or her chart available for review.   Without an appointment, we may not be able to see a sibling, and/or you may be asked to wait while the provider sees a scheduled patient who may be waiting.

Appointments

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may need to ask you to reschedule your appointment.

All patients on ADD medications require follow up visits a MINIMUM of every 6 months.  ADD medications are controlled substances and need to be monitored, especially during your child's growing years.  Without timely follow up visits your medication cannot be filled.

Saturday visits are reserved for same day sick children.
